Get up on the dancefloor…

Posted: 22nd September 2010 by Ms. C in Culture and activites, dance, for friends, movie, music

Yesterday I had a great evening with the first year students in my programme. I am a senior student now. It was good food (thanks to program responsible) and nice company. I hardly had melted all the beans and spicy chillis until I was eyed by my friend and lecturer to get people up on the dance floor… Since I don’t have any problem with that and I love dancing, I did. As it use to happen among my course mates, we mixed bollywood, African (Ghana, Ethiopian, Kenya…), Iranian, American (YMCA, Latinamerican), German and medieval dances. We had so much fun! We just drank still (or sparkling) water, so must have been all these chillis… :)

This is how happy I felt…

I was thinking a little bit about this with dancing… Not everyone loves to jump out on the dance floor (especially if they haven’t drunk anything that makes them forget about how it looks, but just to enjoy the moment of dancing). So I came to remember that little (Swedish) article that someone told me about (thank you). It was a scientist in UK that had researched about the most attractive dances, that is how you dance to get the positive attention for a prospective partner… Apparently this is the way that is most appreciated for potential flirts:

But let’s start with some simple moves… Check out this tutorial video on videojug. Then you could move on and get inspired by watching one of my favourite movies – there are some really pretty good music and moves in there!

So now it’s just to get out and up on the dancefloor… :)

Going to Pakistan movies…

Posted: 18th September 2010 by Ms. C in for friends, movie, music

It says that Veer-Zaara is released in India, but the language is urdu (Pakistan). It is a lovestory over the boundaries. Young Indian pilot /officier fells in love with Pakistan heiress… Didn’t know the story before reading the plot, but this is such a touching scene… Love it.

Beautiful song…

Posted: 15th September 2010 by Ms. C in for friends, music

First time ever I heard Maria Mena, the Norwegian singer. Some of her songs are just so cute, like this one… Who doesn’t need a push to the right direction once in a while, take the step you been waiting on. Just to smile and live the life you wish for. :)

New sound…for me

Posted: 13th September 2010 by Ms. C in for friends, music

Another one of those marvellous evenings with, this time, a new acquaintance who feels like someone I known so much longer… Thanks for showing me new music, although I really found myself repeating this song over and over again. Love the beats…. :)

Nice shot!

Ok, sometimes I have a bit of a silly humour… Even if this was a simple story with a pre-destined ending, I still liked it. A feel-good-movie. :) Here is a bit of it:
